Digital KL International Aerospace Business Convention (Digital KLIABC) 2020 17 November 2020 - 16 February 2021 Kuala Lumpur International Aerospace Business Convention (KLIABC) introduced in 2015 is one of MATRADE's initiatives to enhance the brand Malaysia in the global aerospace sector. KLIABC is an iconic exhibition that connects Malaysian companies with potential buyers from around the world. It is a significant event to increase participation of Malaysian aerospace players in the global supply chain. KLIABC is a bi-annual event organised by MATRADE in collaboration with Malaysian Aerospace Industry Association (MAIA) and Advance Business Events (ABE) France which is a leading aerospace convention organiser in Europe. In an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19, MATRADE altered the format of KLIABC 2020 to Digital KLIABC 2020, enabling a virtual aerospace exhibition which included virtual webinars, exhibitions and online business meetings. The fourth edition of KLIABC provided a digital platform for Malaysian aerospace companies to interact and transact with international aerospace companies and airlines without physical presence. In addition, local aerospace companies also gained in-depth knowledge of the latest technology to develop new business opportunities. As the first virtual aerospace exhibition in Malaysia, Digital KLIABC 2020 successfully attracted the participation of world leading aerospace companies such as Airbus Group, Rolls Royce, Boeing, Safran Engine, Ruag Aviation, GIFAS (French Aerospace Industries Association), Embraer, Thales, Pratt & Whitney and Lufthansa Technik. A total of 2,626 business matching sessions were organised during the first four days of the event with participation of 163 organisations from 25 countries.
