Spurring Exports In The New Norm MATRADE Core Purpose 107 01 02 03 04 05 Malaysia Export Exhibition Centre or better known as MEEC is located on Level 2 of Menara MATRADE. It is a permanent exhibition centre with an area of 4,500 square metres designed exclusively to promote products and services from Malaysia to visitors from within and outside the country. MALAYSIA EXPORT EXHIBITION CENTRE Trade delegates and visitors have the opportunity to view a wide range of Malaysian products and services from over 400 companies spanning across 25 different sectors. Among products on display are from green technology, E&E, chemical, automotive, rubber, plastics, pharmaceutical and timber sectors while services encompass oil & gas, construction, healthcare and education sectors. Apart from serving as an exhibition centre, MEEC also represents a trade meeting point for foreign buyers and Malaysian companies, especially exhibitors. Physical business matching sessions between Malaysian companies and foreign buyers were converted to virtual formats following the COVID-19 pandemic. MEEC also provides other services to Malaysian companies and foreign visitors as follows: • Disseminate information on Malaysian companies to potential foreign buyers. • Provide guidance to Malaysian companies on international trade. • Provide assistance from skilled and experienced officers to address trade enquiries to related sectors relevant to the company. Despite the pandemic, MEEC received 1,931 visitors from within and outside the country throughout 2020. This makes MEEC an important one stop centre in promoting Malaysian products and services.
