Annual Report 2020

MATRADE Annual Report 2020 86 In 2020, MATRADE collaborated with Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) to promote cooperation and business partnerships between Malaysian companies and trading partner countries of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) under the Reverse Linkage (RL) programme. RL aims to provide partnership opportunities between countries in need of assistance in terms of technical expertise and knowledge sharing in various sectors of the economy. The Mapping Malaysia's Resource Centres (MMRC) directory was also produced for this programme. The publication of the MMRC directory entails information on Malaysian service providers (referred to as Resource Centres) comprising government agencies and institutions, as well as private companies. MMRC directory lists more than 60 resource centres from various sectors covering construction services and its related sectors, logistics, Islamic finance, agriculture and R&D, oil and gas related services and information and communications technology (ICT). The MMRC directory was distributed to business communities in OIC countries and can also be accessed on the MATRADE and IsDB portals via https://www.matrade. gov.my/documents/ebook/mmrc_2020/ MATRADE also produced brochures, which include Upcoming Events for MATRADE programmes within and outside the country. Brochures were also produced in conjunction with International Trade Fairs (ITF) organised in Malaysia. This brochure also represents a comprehensive annual business calendar for major ITFs in Malaysia and aims to promote the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions & Exhibitions) industry. In an effort to offer guidance to Malaysian companies, especially SMEs, the fourth edition of the "Beginner's Guide to Exporting" was published. This handbook contains information on understanding export requirements, development of export plans, logistics and export documentation, finance and other references. Various assistance programmes aimed at supporting trade promotion and development of exporters were supported with the provision of e-flyers, web banners and others.
