Spurring Exports In The New Norm MATRADE Core Purpose 85 01 02 03 04 05 Publications are medium for communicating trade information to stakeholders. MATRADE publishes MATRADE Insight (MI) to channel market intelligence to the Malaysian export community which has been produced by MATRADE headquarters based on information available via MA and PMS. MI provides information on export opportunities, market developments related to changes in regulations or legislation as well as import regimes such as non-tariff barriers. In 2020, MATRADE produced a total of 146 MI articles covering 19 sub-sectors. This information was channelled to trade associations and related agencies for dissemination to stakeholders and clients. Through MI articles, MATRADE received a large number of trade enquiries which were then referred to MATRADE’s overseas offices for further information. Following the successful publication of the Exclusive from Malaysia (EFM) magazine in 2019, MATRADE continued with the publication of EFM throughout 2020. This eMagazine which carries the slogan, “Advancing Beyond Boundaries,” showcases Malaysian companies that offer innovative and unique products and services. Targeting over 20,000 international business communities, this publication is distributed via Electronic Direct Mail (EDM) and MATRADE offices worldwide. A total of four issues were published relating to food and beverages, construction, business services and building materials, pharmaceutical products and medical equipment, machinery as well as equipment & components sectors.
