MATRADE Annual Report 2020 122 In line with MATRADE's vision and mission, human resource development is steered towards talent development initiatives based on analysis of training needs and performance appraisals which encompasses MATRADE's core values; Global, Respect, Agile, Creative and Ethical (GRACE). COMPETENCY AND TALENT DEVELOPMENT MATRADE's human resource development aims to create an efficient and high-performing workforce for a more effective service delivery to all stakeholders. In 2020, a total of 148 talent development programmes were organised either virtually or in person. The online appraisal system featuring GRACE was implemented since 2019 to allow for more effective and efficient performance appraisals. For talent and competency development, MATRADE plans to integrate the online appraisal system with Talent Management System which is currently under development and expected to be completed in 2022.
